c.1962 Bandai, Jaguar E-Type (XK-E) in Original Box
Spectacular near mint+ tin litho toy model of one of the most revered sports cars ever produced. It has a friction motor drive and comes complete with its original box. Always a winner, this toy was patterned after the earliest Jaguar E-Type (a.k.a. XK-E) coupe. It has a bronze colored body with red, white, and black striped interior. It's accurately embossed with hood vents, door, hood, and rear hatch. It has a front and rear blue tinted celluloid windshield surrounded by chrome frames. The front bumper, head lamps, and rear bumper are also chrome plated. It has its original "Jaguar X-K-E" rear license plate. The tires are solid rubber with tin lithoed wire wheel hubs. The chassis is an embossed single plate. The box shows a photo illustration of the roadster on the cover. The correct E-Type nomenclature is indicated in the lower right corner. Size: 8¼".
